A daytour that combines the history, nature, and food in the Westfjords.
You get the chance to see three different fishing villages and get to know their history and culture. At the beginning of the journey we visit the oldest fishing station in Iceland: Ósvör in Bolungarvík. Here you can learn about the hard life of fishermen and their trade in the old days. From there we will go to the Heritage Museum in Ísafjörður followed by a short walk around downtown before stopping for lunch (not included). After lunch we move on to the eco-friendly fishing village Suðureyri. Here we will visit a modern fish processing plant and enjoy our exciting local tour called Food Trail. Afterwards you can take your time and discover on your own how people live and work at the edge of the Arctic circle.
This tour starts daily at 9:00am and lasts about 7 hours.
We offer pick up service from hotels and the Ísafjörður airport.
Minimum 2 guests.
