Experience the magnificent Harpa from behind the scenes. On this guided tour you get access to areas that are usually only open to performers, stand in the footsteps of the stars where they prepare before going on stage – and yourself getting pictured standing on the grand stage of Harpa – Eldborg. The guide will share with you some of Harpa’s secrets, stories of odd incidents and the struggles during the economic crisis, as well as the dynamic atmosphere back stage during performances.
You will learn how Icelandic nature, volcanoes and the Arctic light inspired the unique architecture and the amazing glass facade of the house – and be able to photograph it from new intriguing angles. This will be a stimulating journey exploring the less visible brilliance of this rewarded architectural masterpiece. The guided tour takes 45 minutes. The guided tour is in English.

The Harpa guided tour is fully accessible for wheelchair users and customers with mobility issues. In addition, if requested in advance, we are able to provide a wheelchair service for any customers who wish to use it.
Special group guided tours – If you have a group of 15 or more people, then you can book a private guided tour.
The tour can be customized for special interests, for requested time frame or language with a choice between Icelandic, English, Italian, German, Danish or Finnish.
